The Manufacturing Fundamentals program is designed to prepare learners to pursue employment as a skilled trades worker in the manufacturing sector. In this program learners experience multiple trades used in manufacturing such as welding, machining, electrical, metal working, and instrumentation and control. They also learn workplace skills including quality control, personal protective equipment (PPE), and how to use the tools and equipment of the trade correctly and safely. Participation in this program can lead directly to employment in the manufacturing industry and future apprenticeship, or to more specific trades or technology training opportunities related to the manufacturing industry in New Brunswick. Participants who are eligible will have the opportunity to be considered for the Earn as you learn Manufacturing Diploma program with NBCC and Marshall Skills Academy.

The program delivered by NBCC with the possibility to study at NBCC Moncton or NBCC Saint John Grandview campus. The program will be full time for 8 weeks. Successful applicants are encouraged to meet with an employment counsellor at WorkingNB prior to the starting date of the training to commence an employment action plan as financial assistance may be available to participants.
